With 954 beds, the Trust operates out of three main sites; the Alexandra Hospital, the Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre, and the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as operating services from a further three community hospitals.
It is an exciting time for our Trust, as the new leadership team ensures that we deliver on our purpose of Putting Patients First. We are addressing the staffing challenges that affect our ability to deliver sustainable services and are implementing new and improved ways of working. We will work with new and existing partners to provide the most effective services as close as possible to our patients’ homes. We will deliver better experience, better outcomes, at lower cost, and in a way that reduces health inequalities.
We are looking for a Non-executive Director (NED) and Associate NED to join our Board. This is an exceptional opportunity to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people served by the Trust. We are particularly looking for people who can support us in the area of health inequalities.
We are seeking senior level experience in a large and complex organisation in addition to:
NED post: Experience of patient advocacy and /or community engagement as well as ideally a financial qualification and experience as a senior financial officer.
Associate NED post: Experience of patient advocacy and /or community engagement and board level experience
For both posts, you will need to be able to demonstrate you can use your experience to work alongside other non-executives and executive colleagues as an equal member of the board. You will bring independence, external perspectives, skills and challenge to strategy development. You will be able to hold the executive to account by providing purposeful, constructive scrutiny and challenge. Critically you will shape and actively support a healthy culture for the trust.
